Villa Ocampo

The friendship between Victoria Ocampo and the jewish rumanian poet Benjamin Fondane, began in Paris, 1929. Invited to Buenos Aires by Victoria, Fondane colaborates in Sur, brings avant garde films from the 20´s, and in 1936 he becomes friend with the catholic philosopher Jacques Maritain.

During the war, Victoria tries without succes to get a visa to Argentina, but the poet will die in Auschwitz. His mark remains in Victoria´s life for decades.
